Home services startup Pronto is shifting its headquarters to Bengaluru from Delhi NCR. The startup initiated the move in October and is close to completing the transition.
Confirming the development, founder Anjali Sardana told Inc42 that the shift will help Pronto tap Bengaluru’s vast talent pool.
“Gurugram was the perfect place and an ideal market to start. But now that we are scaling, Bengaluru makes more sense for us,” said Sardana, adding the move was always part of the plan.
She said that Pronto has built its tech team from the ground up in Bengaluru.
While the customer support team will continue to operate from the Gurugram office, the rest of the team has moved to the new office space in HSR Layout.
Founded in 2024, Pronto announced its official launch in April this year. It offers on-demand house help services in 10 minutes. The startup currently offers its services in Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and plans to start them in Hyderabad this week.
The latest development comes almost three months after the startup bagged $11 Mn in its Series A funding round, co-led by General Catalyst and Glade Brook Capital. It also saw participation from existing investor Bain Capital Ventures.
Back then, the startup said it would use the capital to expand beyond Gurugram to Mumbai and Bengaluru over the next 12-18 months. It also planned to use the funds to train and onboard 10,000 additional professionals on its platform.
Pronto competes against publicly listed Urban Company’s Insta Help and Lightspeed-backed Snabbit, which also moved its base to Bengaluru earlier this year. Prior to that, quick commerce unicorn Zepto shifted from Mumbai to Bengaluru with an eye on the tech talent pool of the ‘Silicon Valley’ of India.
