It a first time from IRCTC. IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) which till recently was the only online official website to book train tickets in India has now tied up with one of India' s top private bank (ICICI) to sell rail tickets online. With this agreement, ICICI Bank becomes the first bank in the country to offer such a facility on its website. So far all other travel websites use to redirect to the IRCTC website.
With this service now available from a trusted bank, any consumer can search for Indian Railways trains status, book an e-ticket, cancel a reservation as well as check their PNR status among others basis features. The website will display latest information for services including train options and ticket availability by connecting directly with the reservation system of the Indian Railways on a real time basis.
