Key Startup Funding Highlights Of The Week

- Out of 21 funding deals recorded this week, ecommerce accounted for 8 deals — making it the sector with the highest investment activity. Startups in the sector cumulatively raised a total of $49.1 Mn this week.
- Quick commerce startup FirstClub raised the biggest $55 Mn cheque this week. The deal alone landed the consumer services sector the top spot in the cumulative fund infusion list.
- Seed stage funding jumped to $3.1 Mn across three deals this week, more than double from the $1.5 Mn raised by startups at this stage last week.
- Antler, IAN Alpha Fund and Rainmatter emerged as most active investors this week, backing two startups a piece.
Startup IPO Updates This Week
- OTT startup Kuku filed its DRHP via confidential route to raise up to ₹2,500 Cr – ₹3,500 Cr through its IPO at a targeted valuation of up to ₹15,000 Cr. The fresh funds are likely to be utilised toward improving its technology and AI infrastructure, content production, and geographic expansion
- Hospitality major OYO’s parent entity PRISM received SEBI approval for its proposed IPO after the company confidentially filed its DRHP in December 2025.
Other Developments Of The Week
- Wealthtech startup Scripbox acquired the mutual fund distribution business of wealth management firm Bluechip Capital to expand its footprint in Delhi NCR.
- EV maker Ola Electric completed its QIP, raising ₹780.24 Cr by issuing 21.75 Cr equity shares at an issue price of ₹35.86 apiece.
- Dronetech company ideaForge’s board approved a proposal to raise up to ₹500 Cr via preferential allotment, private placement or a QIP. The company did not disclose when or at what price the securities would be issued.
- The Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) raised ₹220 Cr from four strategic investors, including Uber, Zoho, Paytm and BSE.
- Kyro Capital launched a SEBI-registered Category II alternative investment fund (AIF) with a target corpus of ₹100 Cr to back growth-stage companies preparing for public listings.
