Rural India-focussed ecommerce startup Rozana has netted ₹290 Cr ($31.6 Mn) in a Series B funding round led by existing backer Bertelsmann India Investments (BII), along with participation from Spark Growth Ventures, Bikaji Family Office, FE Securities and Fireside Ventures.

The startup intends to utilise the fresh capital to strengthen its tech infrastructure, broaden product categories, develop private-label offerings and deepen brand partnerships.

Founded in 2021 by Ankur Dahiya, Adwait Vikram Singh, Mukesh Christopher and Prithvi Pal Singh, Rozana operates an ecommerce platform designed to provide affordable, last-mile delivery of daily essentials and household products to underserved villages. Its platform enables micro-entrepreneurs to onboard customers, share their latest deals and help them place orders online.

After starting its journey from a few villages in Raebareli, Rozana claims to have expanded its hybrid commerce infrastructure to over 21,000 villages in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. It plans to expand to 200+ physical stores and enter at least two or three northern states across the Gangetic belt.

It hosts over 1,000 SKUs on its ecommerce app, which is available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store, across categories like groceries, electronics and footwear.

“Rural India is home to nearly a billion people, yet the basic act of shopping has long lacked fairness, dignity and choice. At Rozana, we are changing this by building trust through women partners, modern experience centres, and access to products that households can see and believe in. This funding will help us deepen our presence, broaden our categories, and continue empowering communities across Bharat,” Dahiya said.

Rozana claimed that its revenue has grown 4X since its last funding round of $22.5 Mn in 2024, without disclosing the actual figures.

Since its inception, Rozana has raised over $30 Mn from investors like 3one4 Capital, Europe’s IEG-Investment Banking Group, and angels like Moelis CEO Manisha Girotra, RatnaTraya Capital founder and managing partner Surendra Kumar Jain, and Licious cofounder Vivek Gupta.
