Myntra Appoints Former Google Engineering Head Pramod Adiddam As CTO

Flipkart-owned fashion ecommerce major Myntra has appointed Pramod Adiddam as its chief technology officer (CTO).

Adiddam will report to CEO Nandita Sinha and oversee the company’s overall technology strategy, focussing on innovation and building long-term technology capabilities.

Adiddam previously served as the vice president and head of engineering at American grocery delivery platform Instacart. Prior to his five year stint at Instacart, he served Google for over 11 years, his last role being the head of engineering.

“As Myntra continues to grow in scale and depth of offerings, Pramod’s expertise in building and operating large, global platforms and his ability to combine deep technical understanding with disciplined execution will be key as we continue to strengthen our technology foundations at scale,” Sinha said.

This comes after Myntra’s previous chief technology and product officer Raghu Krishnananda stepped down from the role in April last year after a five year stint.

This is the second top-level appointment undertaken by Myntra this year, after hiring Ritesh Mishra as senior VP and head of category and revenue last month.

The announcement came a day after it was reported that Myntra is undertaking a consolidation exercise as part of moving its Gurugram-based satellite operations to Bengaluru. The relocation is expected to impact the jobs of 50 employees of the company’s Gurugram-based catalogue team, sources told Inc42.

On the financial front, the Bengaluru-based fashion ecommerce platform’s net profit zoomed about 18X to ₹548 Cr in FY25 from ₹31 Cr in the previous fiscal year. The company’s revenue from operations rose 18% to ₹6,043 Cr from ₹5,122 Cr in FY24.

Myntra, which was acquired by Flipkart in 2014, is expanding its quick commerce ambitions, after piloting M-Now in Bengaluru in late 2024. Earlier this week, it announced that its quick commerce operations have been expanded to Patna, Jaipur, Lucknow and Ahmedabad.

This has taken the total to 10 cities in India where Myntra delivers select apparel from its broad catalogue within 30 minutes to two hours through over 87 dark stores. It also revealed recently that 70% of the new customers on its platform are from non-metro cities, explaining its conviction to expand in regions beyond the top cities.
