Multi-agent GenAI-powered platform CraftifAI has raised $3 Mn (about ₹27.2 Cr) in its seed funding round led by Ankur Capital, with participation from IvyCap Ventures, Capital-A, Antler, among others.
The startup plans to use the funds to scale its hiring in engineering and go-to-market teams and expand its footprint across global markets.
Founded in 2025 by former PhonePe executive Pratik Sharda and ex-Xilinx senior system design engineer Yashwant Dagar, CraftifAI is building CraftifAI Orbit – an agentic AI platform designed to automate embedded software development for Edge, IoT, and AI-powered devices.
For context, embedded software development is the process of writing software that runs on dedicated hardware devices to control their functions.
The startup said that CraftifAI Orbit simplifies how engineers build intelligent systems spanning automated, hardware-optimised code generation and AI/ML deployment, reducing development time and cost.
The platform consolidates fragmented toolchains into a single AI-driven workflow, automating the embedded software lifecycle, where it supports end-to-end product design, development, and manufacturing for clients to transform their ideas into market-ready hardware at a faster pace and accuracy.
CraftifAI claimed it has secured pilots with several Indian original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across robotics, drones, IoT and AI camera domains, and a semiconductor company listed in the US.
Notably, the number of connected smart devices is projected to grow to over 41 Bn by 2030 from 16 Bn in 2023, while device complexity continues to rise. However, there are only about 2.5 Mn embedded software engineers globally, creating a bottleneck. CraftifAI is looking to solve this problem through its automated solutions.
This comes at a time when AI adoption is rising exponentially across industries. As a result, investors are actively looking to back startups leveraging AI to automate processes across industries.
For instance, agentic AI startup BotGauge AI raised $2 Mn (about ₹18.1 Cr) earlier this month to expand its R&D, improve its QA agents and scale its presence in the US and other global markets.
Notably, the five-day India AI Impact Summit 2026 commenced in New Delhi yesterday. OpenAI founder Sam Altman and Google CEO Sundar Puchai are expected to attend the Summit.
