After several weeks of elevated activity, Indian startup funding momentum hit a slower patch during the first week of November. Twenty startups raised $237.8 Mn during November 3-7, down 36% from $371 Mn raised by 30 startups in the preceding week.

Key Startup Funding Highlights Of The Week
- Marketing automation SaaS startup MoEngage bagged the week’s lone mega funding round, raising $100 Mn from Goldman Sachs and A91 Partners. On the back of the mega round, enterprise tech funding soared to the first position.
- The AI sector continued to see strong investor interest this week, with six startups raising a cumulative $67.6 Mn.
- A91 Partners and Sauce.vc were the most active investors this week, backing two startups each.
- Six startups at the seed stage raised $11.9 Mn this, marking a 52% jump from the $7.8 Mn raised by nine startups at this stage in the preceding week.
M&A Activities This Week
- Gaming startup Zupee acquired Australia-based AI storytelling startup Nucanon to diversify beyond its core gaming offerings.
- PB Health acquired healthtech startup Fitterfly to strengthen its chronic disease management offerings.
- CCI cleared the proposed merger of four entities owned by CarDekho parent Girnar Group and RenewBuy into Artivatic Data Labs, an insurtech startup RenewBuy acquired in 2022.
- TCC Concept’s board approved the acquisition of a 98.98% stake in online furniture marketplace Pepperfry for about INR 661.47 Cr. The deal is expected to be completed by December 15.
- Listed OTA company EaseMyTrip entered into definitive agreements to acquire stakes in AB Finance, Three Falcons, Nirvana, Levo and Javaphile for a total of INR 514 Cr.
Startup IPO Updates This Week
- Lenskart’s INR 7,278 Cr IPO closed with a bumper 28.26X oversubscription, with investors bidding for 281.88 Cr shares against 9.97 Cr shares on offer. The company is expected to list on the bourses on Monday.
- Groww’s INR 6,600 Cr IPO closed with 17.6X oversubscription, with investors bidding for 641.86 Cr shares against 36.48 Cr shares on offer. The company is expected to list on the bourses on Wednesday.
- After raising INR 1,754 Cr from anchor investors, Pine Labs IPO opened on Friday to a muted investor response. The company’s public issue was subscribed 13% on day 1.
- PhysicsWallah filed its RHP for an INR 3,480 Cr IPO, which is set to open for subscription on Tuesday. The company has set a price band of INR 103 to INR 109 for its IPO, translating to a $3.5 Bn valuation at the upper end of the price band.
- Markets regulator SEBI approved Shiprocket’s confidential DRHP on October 31. Shiprocket filed its pre-IPO papers in May 2025 and is planning to raise around INR 2,000 Cr to INR 2,500 Cr from the public offering.
- Reviving its IPO plans, quick commerce major Zepto will now look to file its DRHP within November via the confidential route. The startup’s public issue will comprise a fresh issue of $450 Mn to $500 Mn as well as an undisclosed OFS component.
Fund Updates Of The Week
- Private equity firm ChrysCapital announced the final close of its tenth startup investment fund, ChrysCapital X, after netting $2.2 Bn. ChrysCapital aims to deploy the capital over the next 3-4 years, with several deals already in the pipeline.
- Former Wall Street banker Dhruv Jhunjhunwala has launched a PE firm Novastar Partners with plans to raise INR 350 Cr for its maiden fund of funds (FoF). The new fund will also have a green-shoe option of INR 150 Cr.
Other Developments Of The Week
- Swiggy’s board approved plans to raise INR 10,000 Cr via a qualified institutional placement (QIP) or any other route permitted under Indian regulations.
- Marking a second major secondary transaction in recent months, Rapido investor TVS Motor signed share purchase agreements with Accel and Prosus to sell its stake worth INR 287.9 Cr in the startup
- Investment firm Lighthouse Canton raised $40 Mn in its maiden external funding round led by VC firm Peak XV Partners, with participation from Nextinfinity.
- Info Edge would soon be investing INR 100 Cr in its deeptech investment arm Redstart Labs to meet its capital needs, fund potential investments and cover general purposes.
- Karnataka government announced an INR 600 Cr plan to back entrepreneurs building technologies in areas of AI, ML quantum computing, robotics and advanced manufacturing. Of this, INR 150 Cr will go into a new DeepTech Elevate Fund, which will focus on AI and frontier technologies.
- Doubling down on its India investments, Uber is looking to invest $20 Mn in fleet management startup Everest Fleet. This would mark Uber’s third investment in the startup.
