Xiaomi now enters financial market services

Xiaomi, the Chinese electronics company major is now venturing in to financial market. Xiaomi which is world's 3rd largest smartphone distributor, which designs, develops and sells smartphones, mobile apps and consumer electronics. Xiaomi was in news with the release of MiPad and Mi4i recently.

This new financial venture currently is within China only to start with, dubbed as "Xiaomi Huoqi Bao" which translates as “Xiaomi savings account".

 Its basically Xiaomi's new personal finance services that will offer deposit rates higher than traditional Chinese banks and will be accessible via an app which would be bundled with Xiaomi handsets.

The service is collaboration between Xiaomi and E Fund Management, one of China's largest wealth managers.

Now money transfer using WhatsApp, Facebook and many more options

Axis bank, the third largest private sector bank in India is the now going social and making it easy for users to transfer money to their loved ones on the go.

It recently launched a mobile application called “Ping Pay” a mobile payment solution enabled application, through which a user can make instant money transfer to their friends over social platforms such as Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter, Email list and phone contact list.

The Ping Pay app will allow a person-to-person transfer of funds of up to Rs 50,000 (maximum limit) using National Payment Corporation of India’s (NPCI) Immediate Payment Service (IMPS).

In order to send money via the app, one has to select a contact and mention the amount to be transferred.

The receiver will get a link, after which they will have to download the Ping Pay app and enter the bank account details. Subsequently, the money will be credited to that account.

It must be noted that the receiver need not be an Axis Bank customer. Also, the app lets you ask for the money along with receiving it

To avail Ping Pay service, user have to first register with register mobile number and for sending money can associate their Axis Bank internet banking credentials or ATM/ Debit Card to send money.

Ones the sender sent an amount to their friend by selecting through social application, the beneficiary will have 15 days time to accept the amount, by transferring funds to his/her bank account, if fails doing so within prescribed time the transaction would be auto-reversed to the remitter’s account.

An App to view Indian Cities like never before

Wonobo, the India's street map view provider recently added more Indian cities to its list. When Wonobo was launched its website Wonobo.com it just had 5 major Indian cities, now it covers 14 Indian cities in total.

The company says it will soon be expanded to 54 cities across India and add businesses and marketers eventually. Genesys International Corporation the company who manages the Wonobo.com website recently also launched its mobile app for Android.

The WoNoBo App makes it possible for Indians to share aspects of their lives in a manner that simply hasn’t been possible before. Its the first and the only 360 degree view service on the mobile platform. Guides and Walking Tours are also being launched in partnership with the Government of India, as a part of the Incredible India campaign.
