Aakash Tablet (cheapest tablet) now available Online

The manufacturer Datawind has now started the online booking and pre booking of the much anticipated low cost Android tablet. The Students' version of the tablet is called Aakash and the commercial version is called the UbiSlate 7, for which pre booking has started.

Students' version will be available for Rs 2,500 ($50) and will be delivered in seven days. The

commercial version, UbiSlate 7 is priced at Rs 2,999 ($60). The payment mode for both the tablets is cash on delivery.

The commercial version of Aakash tablet is powered by Android 2.3 and has a resistive touchscreen, Cortex A8-700 MHz processor and graphics accelerator HD video processor, 256 MB of RAM and 2 GB of internal memory, GPRS and WiFi support.

What is there to showcase ?....I can buy now a similar product in US for 39 dollars..I am not kidding. So many stores are selling the stuff because the market is literally flooded with cheap tablet PC from China. Some stores are even offering it for 35 dollars. - Same specs and same OS. - India as usual is blowing a hollow trumpet.
